“Jugnoo ki roshni se inki zindagi ujagar karain”
Behbud’s Adult Literacy Program: Jugnoo empowers community women to pursue their talents while enabling them to support their families.
Two sisters who have benefited from Behbud’s literacy classes are Afshah and Mehwish. Afshah joined the program in 2015. She excelled quickly, learning to read and write in both Urdu and English, acquiring basic Mathematics skills, and gaining confidence. She also took a Beautician course and is now her own boss. Her younger sister, Mehwish, has followed in her footsteps. She is currently completing her Behbud course while adhering to all COVID SOPs and working at a salon in Zamzama.
