Safina has worked at Behbud Vocational Center for the past 18 years, and this has allowed her to financially support her children as a single mother. Both Safina and her sister visited the Vocational Center after being encouraged by their mother. Safina had learned embroidery work from Abbottabad, so she was quickly hired. In addition to the weekly salary she is given, she takes orders to earn extra money.
Behbud allowed Safina to support her children’s education, and now her daughter is in the medical field, and her son is studying science in high school. She is proud to share that she has been able to support her son’s education from nursery until BA. To Safina, Behbud not only provides financial stability, but also a sense of comfort and joy within the community with the other women.
