The Learning Resource Center of Behbud Association, Karachi imparts quality teacher training.
Misbah always knew she wanted to be a teacher just like her sister, who taught at the Behbud Boys Secondary School. “From childhood teachers have been my ideal,” says Misbah. After completing her Matric she went on to do B.Com and then got a job with Behbud Girls Secondary School. Like all new teachers she attended the Basic Teacher Training Program (BTTP) administered by the Behbud Learning Resource Center (LRC). Through this program and other trainings given By Behbud LRC during school vacations in summer and winter, she learnt development of teaching aids, classroom management and teaching strategies which she applies in her classroom daily. She currently teaches English to Classes 2 and 3.
Now that school is in session again, she is excited to be back at Behbud with her students. According to her, “Online teaching isn’t the same. Seeing their eager faces is what makes it all worthwhile”
