Success Story: Ishaque Khan Jadoon

Ishaque Khan was in Class 6 when he heard about Behbud Boys School from a neighbor. Despite studying in a local government school, Ishaque was still unable to read and write, so he was placed in Class 2 at Behbud.

The combination of a disciplined yet friendly atmosphere at Behbud was highly conducive to Ishaque’s learning. Students were not allowed to bunk classes, and absences had to be accounted for. For students like Ishaque, who were lagging behind, teachers gave extra time and help.

These practices allowed Ishaque to thrive. He came to school regularly, and he was the captain of the cricket team. Even now that he has matriculated, his Behbud teachers still support and advise him.

Both of Ishaque’s siblings also attended Behbud, and all three of them studied at subsidized rates or free of cost. Today, Ishaque have a stable government job and looks back at his days at Behbud with fondness and gratitude.
